European pears have a soft, juicy texture when ripe and a pear shape.

Euro Pear on P ussuriensis 3-5 ft- $18 ea
Add 5 dollars per tree if ordering less than 3 trees.
Ussuriensis is very winter hardy rootstock but low chill. Intolerant of poorly drained soils and  susceptible to pear decline unless graft union is buried. Zone 3

Winter Nellis is an mproved strain of P communis rootstock reputed to bear larger fruits.

2 Stacey: Small, sweet fruit. Long- lived on own roots. (250 yrs plus). High yields. Z 3

Asian pears are crisp like an apple. Sweet and very juicy. Round shape.

Asian Pear on betulifolia rootstock; 5 ft+, lg roots- $25

Very vigorous rootstock, does well on heavy and light soils. Hardiness not known.
